Don’t listen to the half-baked opinions. This movie has class and dignity. It’s a fight that occurs within almost every one of us, the fight of good vs evil. The story portrays Denzel Washington as an upright lawyer who doesn’t stand for anything wrong, but according to our standards is a nutjob. What should Roman do, should he be a hypocrite and bid goodbye to his morals or stay on the good path. Wonderful performance by Denzil Washington who plays Roman J Israel, Esq, which stands for Esquire, meaning noble. He considers himself noble and lives up to the title.
